 The Black cloud

Cairo - Egypt

1- High above the sky, there was a black cloud, called Dream cloud. They say that every kid’s dream can become true only if the door of Dreams is found.

2- The Door of dreams is hidden inside that black cloud guarded by Dam and Nap.

3- Dam was a cheerful door guard full of energy. He likes helping Kids find their dreams so he is used to giving them a hand when in need.

4- But Nap was lazy; he prefers getting naps all the day and gets annoyed whenever a dream came to the minds of Kids around the world.

5- One day, a dream came to a cute young boy named “Telly”. He wanted to become a pilot, as his uncle Matt.

6- “Telly” liked to travel around the world and he liked the sky a lot. He used to imagine himself riding over clouds as a white knight in the wide blue sky.

 7- On that day when “Telly” was having his dream, He saw a funny black cloud. He wondered why there was a black cloud.

8-Because, he is a brave young boy he jumped off his riding cloud and went to explore that black odd one.

9- The darkness was around him, so that he couldn’t even see his own hands or legs. But he was enthusiastic to know more about this darkness and the reason of this black color among the whitish clouds of the sky.

10- He thought if he could keep moving straight ahead he would reach the center of the cloud and figure out the reason inside its heart.

11-He stretched his arms in front of him and walked slowly. Suddenly he saw a shining little knob. “This must be the door to the cloud’s Heart” Said “Telly” to himself.

12- “Telly” grasped the knob and opened the door. Dam and Nap were guarding the door and were standing right behind it. “Telly” startled!. He didn’t anticipate to find them so he was shaken and about to fall.

13- Dam Wanted to give a hand to “Telly” so he won’t fall, but Nap was happy to push “Telly” quickly away from the door, and “Telly “fell out again.

14- Confused by the sudden appearance of the two guards and being in the darkness once again “Telly” shook his head as if he was telling fear to go away.

15-  After a while, He heard himself whispering: you can do it “Telly”. He regained his courage and got up on his feet once again.

16- This time he knew exactly where to find the door and who will be waiting behind it when opened. He was totally prepared.

17- Behind the door, Dam decided to get prepared as well. He said to himself: “I must prevent Nap from pushing the young boy out again.”

18- Nap was about to take another nap. He thought that “Telly” gave up and would be turned down from first attempt. Enchanted by this thought, Nap closed his eyes to sleep.

 19- “Telly” turned the knob quietly and slowly, he thought: “I don’t want the guards get frightened, I just want to know what makes this cloud black?”

20- Luckily, the quite movement of Telly was not heard by Nap, but Dam was still awake waiting for “Telly” to come back.

 21- “I knew you’d come back again.” Dam told “Telly” when he came in . “Telly” smiled: “I didn’t want to frighten you guys, sorry.”

 22-Dam smiled and said: “you must be a good boy, what is your name?. “Telly”, responded the cute young boy.

23- Telly asked the guard: “Why this cloud is black?” Dam was surprised by the question. Not even one asked about the cloud color before. Every kid was caring only of their dreams.

24- Dam didn’t know how to answer. He didn’t know the reason himself. Instead, he explained to “Telly” how this cloud helps kids fulfill their dreams.

25- “Telly” was happy to know he could become a pilot as he always dreamt but his happiness was lacking something. “Perhaps If I knew why the cloud is black, I’d feel happier”. He whispered to himself.

26- On the way to the dream path, Dam and “Telly” were walking together. “Telly” asked: “Do you know where the heart of this cloud is?” Dam didn’t want to answer.

27- Finally, they reached the pilot section of dreams. There were thousands of Airplanes with thousands of colors. Some airplanes were known but there were new types of airplanes models with new trends of colors. For ”Telly” it was a heaven of Airplanes forest !!

28- The feeling of Concurring the sky became an easy term to “Telly’s” mind. He got what is meant by those words at last, but inside his heart he still felt that something was missing.

29-  “Telly” Picked some of the new airplanes which he thought trendy and decided to try them when he gets off the black cloud. Dam left him back to his guarding place at the door to serve another kid’s dream.

30- On his way back, Telly was still wondering about the cloud’s heart: I found the door, but didn’t find the cloud’s heart yet! , where could it be? “He asked himself.

31- Busy with his thoughts, “Telly” didn’t notice Nap who was following him secretly.

32-Nap was angry that “Telly” could fulfill his dream, so he wanted to try another trick on him. “Do you still want to know, where the heart of the cloud lies? Nap Asked “Telly “

33- “yes, I do .” “Telly “answered quickly. Nap said: “but there is one condition, you have to give away your dream if you want to know the place. Think carefully, Do you still want to know where the heart is?

34- “Telly” hesitated: Why would I give away my dream? Should I just go and let the cloud be black forever? May be even if I find its heart, I would not be able to know the reason after all.

35- “Telly” and Nap stood still .looking into each other’s eyes they seemed to challenge each other. For some reason “Telly’s” heart told him to be brave one more time and accept Nap condition.

36- “No Problem! I can still have another dream and make it come true one day.. Dreams never end so is my will.” replied “Telly”. Nap had no other choice but to lead “Telly” to the heart of the cloud. In return, he took back all “Telly’s” airplanes.

37-Returning back to his guarding place, Nap had a gloomy face. It was first time Dam sees Nap wearing such a gloomy face. He wondered why?

38- The heart of the black cloud was greyish and sad. “Telly” asked politely about the reason the cloud became black instead of being white in color.

39- With a long Sigh, The heart of the cloud starts to talk sadly. It explained how unfortunate the cloud was. “Among each ten kids I was able to fulfill only 4 of all kids’ dreams, leaving the remaining 6 in sadness, as this number increases the sadness increases within” explained the heart.

40- “Telly” said:” it is not your fault, not being able to fulfill every kid’s dream, it certainly not. You only need to do your best.” “People make choices of their own hearts as well; you should not blame yourself for their choices.” He added.

41-“Today, I gave away my valuable Airplanes to come see you Heart of the cloud. It was my choice. I don’t regret it and I would not blame myself for it. How would you blame yourself?”

42- The heart thought deeply of these wise words of Telly’s heart. “You are the wisest young fellow I have ever met in my travel. How could you be so wise?”

43- Telly didn’t know how and when he learned those words; he just felt it by his heart. “I only wanted to help you turn white again. I like watching white clouds in blue sky” he answered.

44- Perhaps Telly’s dream of becoming a pilot was only a dream of loving nature, wide blue sky with flowers like clouds dressed in white.

45-Outside the heart’s chamber, Nap took Dam to watch secretly. Nap felt guilty of what he did to the cute young boy so he asked Dam to help him make it up for the kid.

 46-They heard the talks between “Telly” and the cloud’s heart. Both guards felt proud of the young boy.  They saw the heart smiling little by little and as it smiles it turns whitish in color.

47-Telly watched the cloud color turning white as its heart turns whitish. And he smiled.” There is nothing missing with this happiness I feel inside”, Telly told himself.

48-At the door Telly paid farewell to the guards and started his journey back to riding clouds. Nap returned him back all his trendy airplanes. He felt happy.

 49-In the next morning, Telly was first to wake up and brush his teeth, he was full of Energy such as Dam; his heart was full of peace.

50- “Telly” kept on whispering: “I was able to turn the black cloud white again. I was able to fulfill my dream  ... If anything comes up in the future I am sure I’ll be able to solve it... I can do it.”
